Talk page comments edit

Just a note, you can sign your talk page comments by adding ~~~~. This helps others identify who made what comments. Thanks, Grsz11 →Review! 03:29, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks - still learning this - may take me a few times ~~~~ AKC243

Ha, no problem. I guess you can see that if you don't do it enough times, SineBot yells at you. Grsz11 →Review! 04:12, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 03:42, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Akc2543 edit

Hi Akc2543. I noticed you created a Requests for Adminship page some time ago; I was wondering as to what the status of that request might be. I think it's fair to warn you that new users are rarely successful at RfA and that the Wikipedia editing community sets very high standards for editors running for adminship. That being said, I strongly urge you to read WP:GRFA, User:Davidwr/Administration is not for new users, and WP:NOTNOW, and ask you to reconsider whether you really do wish to go through with your candidacy; please understand that you stand very little to no chance of passing RfA at this point and that you are strongly discouraged from running for adminship. If you are still intent on running for adminship with that RfA and are absolutely positive this is what you want, please do let me know; otherwise, I'll go ahead and delete the RfA page for you in about a week or so from today. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 18:40, 13 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your reply. I have been part of Wikipedia for over two years and hardly a new user. If you think I should withdraw, that is fine, but I have been making edits now and I just applied for adminship two days ago. Your support is appreciated, but not expected. --Akc2543 (talk) 22:15, 13 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Yulieski Gurriel edit

Something like that needs to clearly wp:cite a wp:reliable source; not a wp:selfpublished source. If you see it again, please remove it. "Unsourced BLP" in the edit summary would be useful. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 06:02, 28 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
