Loans edit

Sometimes, common sense has to be used here. Young players, and players in lower leagues, often go on very brief loans, and making a whole section for it is just silly! But there are others who spend seasons on repeated loans to a team. Every case is different '''tAD''' (talk) 17:52, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Favour edit

Hi there ADNAN, from Portugal,

do you mind doing me a favour? Can you please ask User:PhilStar01 why does he feel adding the geographic region to the persondata field in the footballer articles is essential? I have tried and User:MYS77 has also tried, only to have silence as reply even though we were polite. Plus, the persondata field is going to be eliminated from articles, so there is no more need to continue with those insertions.

Best, happy editing --84.90.219.128 (talk) 22:04, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

But times do not include more. --PhilStar01 (talk) 22:08, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I do not understand Phil, what is your main language, Spanish, French? I also apologize for removing you at times, but I feel it was an unnecessary addition (the geographic additions should be made only in the storyline) --84.90.219.128 (talk) 22:18, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Phil, hablas español? Me puedes decir que significa "But times do not include more"? Desde ya, pido disculpas por qualquier molestia que mis ediciones te hayan podido ocasionar, pero es que creo que el detalle de la región geográfica en "persondata" es demasiado, con ponerlo en la historia ya es suficiente. Saludos (and also thanks to Adnan for his cooperation) --84.90.219.128 (talk) 22:26, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Quando se hace "clic" sobre "wikidata item" arriba a la izquierda, se puede ver si toda la información ya está inserida en dicha sección, y entonces se puede ya remover el "persondata" (translation: when you click on "wikidata item" on the top-left corner, you can see if all the information is already inserted in said section, then you can remove the "persondata"). --84.90.219.128 (talk) 22:30, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Liverpool F.C.–Manchester United F.C. rivalry edit

Hi, about the distinction between major honours and super cups. Both official club websites make a separation and these are referenced in the article just below the table. There are also 4 references that show the distinction in general terms. The Wikipedia pages for Super Cup and Community Shield both make it clear and explicitly state that these are minor trophies and not on a par with the Premier League or UEFA Champions league for example and provide further references.

The distinction is especially important in this particular article as it provides a reasonable way to determine the most successful club in England. There are references to websites that use major honours played over the course of a season to determine this rather than single-match honours. I've been unable to find any reference that equates the Community Shield with the major honours.

Thanks for helping out with this as I haven't edited before. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.6.180.113 (talk) 00:06, 1 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Domenico Berardi edit

There are no other statistics (i.e. 'International') to differentiate from, so your heading was pointless. GiantSnowman 17:34, 2 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for July 3 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mario Balotelli, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Community Shield. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Announce/announced edit

Whatever it is, it should be consistent across all entries. For most timelines (and on Wikipedia's "In the News"), the simple present is used, so even on past events it says "Inter announce..." Choose either past or present and leave a note on the page, consistency is what matters. '''tAD''' (talk) 19:34, 3 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hachim Mastour edit

Page might need expansion before going on DYK. Can you research these potential points:

1. Did Mastour play in the UEFA youth league?

2. His Italy U16 caps, and Italian reaction to his switch

3. Who was the youngest Moroccan cap before?

PS I don't know your languages, but the best sources may be in Italian or French

Thanks! I am not at home for the next few days, only on mobile, so I can't input references, only a bit of minor edits and copyediting. Stay in touch with the DYK reviewer on the nomination and inform him when the article is as good as we can make it. Thanks! '''tAD''' (talk) 20:52, 10 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Danilo Cataldi edit

Adnan, thanks for getting in touch. Aside from a few grammatical mistakes (which I can easily correct if you want), what seems to be the trouble with this page? Do you want it translated into Italian? UnknownBrick22 (talk) 12:56, 11 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Internazionale season articles edit

Hey Adnan, I just wanted to thank you for your support throughout the Italian football project, and I also wanted to let you know that henceforth I will not be editing any of the Internazionale season articles. Not being able to pipe to Internazionale was the last straw, and I can't stand the fact that a random user with an IP address who has never contributed anything to the project has barged in and become a veritable dictator. As a result I will continue to edit the remaining 19 season articles this season, but I leave the Inter season article to you, because we all know Mister 208.000000 isn't going to be keeping up with actual information or contribution. Thanks for all your help, support, and work on the Serie A articles, and good luck. Italia2006 (talk) 19:23, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry to hear that is the case. Not all editors approach Wikipedia with the same reasons. I know some editors who do nothing but correct misspellings, grammar or similar. Some editors fix table layouts. Other editors do nothing but convert bare references to complete citations. I tend to look for uniformity. I accept the consensus reached at Talk:2014–15 Inter Milan season and have no intention to fight with people who want to impose Italian on the English project, particularly when I'm doing so anonymously. Cheers. 208.81.212.222 (talk) 20:44, 17 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Piping Hellas Verona F.C.: Change of Policy edit

Hey Adnan I was hoping you might be able to help me with something. There is a new consensus regarding the piping of Hellas Verona F.C.. It is now Hellas Verona rather than Verona. If you could help me convert as many Serie A club season articles as possible to this format, that would be extremely helpful to me. Thanks again for all your great work.
