July 2009 edit

Your edits to July 8 edit

Dear 129.176.151.11,
Some of your edits on the page July 8 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:

The person you added doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.

If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. Please see this page for help. PseudoBot (talk) 19:07, 13 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Lethal injection, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 05:36, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

March 2011 edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to WJXX. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Deconstructhis (talk) 20:48, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

All I've done is update an out of date link that was listed along with this article for the last 4-5 years. The site that article was initially available on is gone and it was re-hosted elsewhere. It is a historical account of the first three years of WJXX before it became a part of another organization, not a rant or soapbox raving. It was used as citation of many details of the original WJXX entry, almost all of which have been deleted over the years by users who for some reason don't want to acknowledge that the station existed as a separate entity. Since almost all historical information has been deleted from the main WJXX entry, this link is all that remains. It is not promotional, spam, a traffic grab, or anything else insidious or forbidden. 129.176.151.11 (talk) 14:02, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contribution to Vernon Parish, Louisiana, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember that Wikipedia is a widely-used reference tool, so we have to take what we do here seriously. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the sandbox to get started. Thank you. Deconstructhis (talk) 20:56, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to WJXX. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Deconstructhis (talk) 13:40, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I was not spamming, promoting or advertising. I was simply updating an existing link, a historical article about the end of the station that had been a part of this article for at least 4 years. It is not a traffic grab or attempt to move up in Google or anything of the sort. 129.176.151.11 (talk) 14:07, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm afraid that what you're considering an "historic article", appears very much to me like a link to an individual's blog that seems to be an attempt on someone's part to air their personal grievances with the past practices of this television station, and as such, does not conform to a number of our policies and guidelines including those related to appropriate external links. Please see WP:EXT. If you feel strongly that I am misinterpreting this situation, please feel free to post your concerns with my editing practices on the administrator's notice board and seek their opinion. See WP:ANI. I would strongly advise you not to continue to repost this link without further discussion with other editors, as many editors would probably regard that action as a form of disruption and be dealt with accordingly. Please understand that this is not a personal attack on my part, it is my attempt to conform to existing policies, guidelines and consensus. If you have remaining concerns regarding this situation, please seek input from other editors before taking any further action. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 14:43, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

May 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Garrison Keillor with this edit. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. February 2020 edit

Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to Gabriel. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. If the content in question involves images, you also have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide the images that you may find offensive. Thank you. May 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Trains2050. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Jeremy Thompson (American football), but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Trains2050 (talk) 19:01, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

July 2021 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Brave Saint Saturn has been reverted.
Your edit here to Brave Saint Saturn was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PfLXoAXjGM&list=PLZhA9XxHpQAW6mSlGlp5l5U5oa2DJCYCZ) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:35, 15 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Steve Huffman. Thank you. Beccaynr (talk) 15:15, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
