Steve Huffman (born November 12, 1983) is an American web developer and co-founder of the website, reddit.[1] More recently, he co-founded the airfare search site, Hipmunk.[2][3]
In 2005, Steve graduated from the University of Virginia with a computer science degree.[4] After graduating, he teamed up with classmate, Alexis Ohanian, to start reddit which was initially funded by Y Combinator.[4] Reddit was later acquired by Conde Nast in 2006.[5]
Post-reddit
In 2010, Huffman teamed up with Adam Goldstein to create the travel site, Hipmunk, with funding also from Y Combinator.[2][3] In 2011, Steve was named to Inc. magazine's 30 under 30 list.[6] Steve is also the instructor for "CS253: Web Application Engineering", an e-learning course begun in April 2012 by online education provider, Udacity.[7]
