Haunted attraction (simulated) edit

History edit

Here in central Florida, the haunted house scene has become rather, well, cutthroat. In 1990, when Universal first staged a horror event, it didn’t take much more than a couple of boos and a bowl of spaghetti guts to spook visitors. Since then, Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Sea World and Busch Gardens have steadily increased their own Halloween offerings. http://www.nbcbayarea.com/entertainment/entertainment-news/The-History-of-Haunted-Houses-How-Fears-Have-Fueled-an-Industry-280063892.html

Originally, customers were supposed to walk through the Haunted Mansion, but the park staff had problems maintaining their pace and keeping the line moving steadily, so it became a dark ride in which patrons sat in trains (known as “doom buggies”) that carried them through the haunt. http://www.hauntedhouseassociation.org/ http://hauntedattractionassociation.com/ http://www.americahaunts.com/ah/

ITEC Entertainment Corporation is a themed entertainment design, production and technology company based in the United States. The company was founded in 1985 by Marc Plogstedt in Orlando, Florida.

History edit

ITEC Entertainment was founded in 1985 in Orlando, Florida.[2] It joined an evolving themed entertainment industry: during the mid-1980s there were only about 500-600 amusement parks in the United States, many of which were family or small proprietorship operations. The industry began transitioning toward larger, regional theme parks operated by large corporations during this time. [3] Six Flags was in a growth phase, Universal Studios was beginning work on its Florida park, and Disney was also beginning its expansion with Disney-MGM Studios park in Florida. Some of ITEC's earliest projects reflected this shift: [research anything from 1985~1990] ITEC was originally known as a credible controls engineering firm. ITEC's first large notable project was the rebuild effort for the Jaws attraction at Universal Studios Florida.

Jaws for Universal Studios Orlando, Batman: The Ride for the Six Flags Parks and the World of Disney Store for Walt Disney World.[4] ADD THESE TO TABLE: worked on projects for Universal Studios, The Walt Disney Company, Parques Reunidos, Wanda Group, SeaWorld, Six Flags, Paramount Parks, Kennedy Space Center, and International Speedway Corporation among others.[5]

Itec work in China & turnkey solutions.[6] growth into China, openings for Dalian Wanda Group[7]

Orlando-based ITEC Entertainment Corp. has completed the design and integration of ride control systems in six attractions for Motiongate and Bollywood Park, two theme parks at Dubai Parks and Resorts.[8]
