The 62nd AIESEC International Congress is 2010’s largest congregation of global youth leadership demonstrated by AIESEC, the world’s largest student-run organization. It meets every year in various countries where AIESEC is present in a national or local chapter. Each International Congress is expressed by a theme that represents an aspect of the organization’s mission of fostering global understanding. For IC 2010, the theme is “Converging Leadership and Diversity.” The first AIESEC IC was held in Stockholm, Sweden, in March of 1949, representing an extension of the Stockholm Exchange (the first ever AIESEC meeting) of 1948.

The AIESEC Global Alumni Congress is the annual congregation of international AIESEC alumni at International Congress, hosted by the AIESEC Alumni Association. At this congress, awards are given to alumni who demonstrate commitment to the organization even after their departure from it, either by being inducted into the Hall of Fame, or by being given specialty awards. This year’s Global Alumni Congress will be facilitated by the host local committee, AIESEC in Delhi University.

The Youth to Business Forum includes panel discussions, workshops and focus groups for the delegates at IC, providing them the opportunity to work with sponsoring business leaders and online participants. The forum usually centers around certain focus issues relevant to the times. This year’s focus issues include Labor Mobility and Diversity, Harnessing Youth Innovation, and Corporate Behaviors. This year’s Youth to Business Forum will be facilitated by the host local committee, AIESEC in Hyderabad, at the Indian School of Business.

IC 2010 in India marks a turning point for AIESEC as an international organization because it acts as the checkpoint for the successful completion of the AIESEC 2010 vision that was established at IC 2005 in Agra. The AIESEC 2010 vision set quantitative benchmarks for number of exchanges, number of leadership roles, number of countries and territories where AIESEC is present, and number of dual experiences (exchange and leadership) to be realized in 2010. At IC 2010, the international plenary of the organization will analyze its success in fulfilling this vision, as well as finalizing the establishment of the AIESEC 2015 vision.

IC 2010 is to be held at the Taj Deccan hotel in Hyderabad, from August 24th, 2010 to September 1st, 2010. Notable partners include the Godrej Group, Tata Chemicals, Tata Power, Tata Motors, Coca-Cola, and CNBC. There are 665 delegates from 110 different countries attending the conference.
