Zucker Hillside Hospital edit

I have a question. Why did you redirect Zucker Hillside Hospital to Zucker hillside hospital? I believe Zucker Hillside Hospital is a proper name. ttonyb (talk) 23:49, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Because the user had created the article with "See Zucker hillside hospital" and not the proper way, so I redirected to that.  IShadowed  ✰  23:52, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
I don't want to create an edit conflict, so I'll let you repair the mistake. My best to you... ttonyb (talk) 23:56, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Thank you SO much! edit

Man, I gotta do more writing.  :) Seriously though, thank you for the incredibly kind gesture. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:51, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

No real trick to it. I just bring up the new pages list and work it from the top down. Once I delete an article, the system gives me the option of going back to the page and so on. I've really been thinking of doing some writing, though. I uploaded some photos and did some general cleanup at Pioneertown, California and that felt good to do. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:55, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Please do not remove the asterisks in the two places they are currently in - these are removed by your first reviewer.

Speedy deletion declined: Razzle Bam Boom edit

Hello IShadowed, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Razzle Bam Boom - a page you tagged - because: With six albums released, there is enough to pass A7. Needs independent sources, and might not pass AfD - take it there if you wish. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. Hello IShadowed, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Live and Acoustic (Recorded at the Beat Kitchen) - a page you tagged - because: This is actually about an album, not a band, and A7 does not apply; and Lucky Boys Confusion have an article, so A9 doesn't apply either. Welcoming edit

Good job welcoming new users! I just have one thing I'd like you to different. If you see any more users with usernames that obviously violate the username policy, don't give them a welcome. Just report them at WP:UAA like you've been doing. We don't want to give vandals a feeling of welcome at Wikipedia. Other than this, you're doing great. A friendly welcome can really make a difference! Happy editing, Malinaccier (talk) 21:51, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Eh, sorry. Didn't really think of it that way.  IShadowed  ✰  21:52, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
I remember doing something similar back a long time ago. I was welcoming users who had actually vandalized becuase I didn't pay attention to the fact that their "contribs" link was blue on the account creation log. It happens to us all, and you shouldn't stop welcoming other users because of it. Keep up the good work, Malinaccier (talk) 22:04, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

I have alot of interest in a particulr VERY biased article and will probably be asking for a lot of help to correct it's contrent and improve the material presented. Livewellinca (talk) 05:04, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

The article is Narconon....and it is truly very biased...I am a 9 year graduaute of the Narconon program, and have personal very successful knowledge of all aspects of the organization and policies and procedures....I would just like the article to include more of the absolute facts rather than the bits and pieces that make it appear ineffective and shady. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Livewellinca (talkcontribs) 05:30, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

how to stop someone from editing wrong informations? edit

  Done

Hello and thanks for the welcome message. Sorry I'm new to here. The only reason why I signed up is because the user Europe22 keep making wrong updates on the song vivo per lei. It says it's a french song... vivo per lei originally was an italian love song written in 1995 for the italian band O.R.O. and 1 year later Bocelli and Giorgia changed slightly the lyric so that the subject would be "the music" and not "a girl" because Bocelli is blind so that he loves music more than everything else. Europe22 keeps rewriting it saying it's a French song from Helene Segara?!?!? Putting Bocelli in background?!?!? I think this is outrageous not only for Italians but for the whole world and for Bocelli moreover. How can we stop this? Thecrastest (talk) 14:15, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi IShadowed ! Please note that I agree with the fact that the song was originally written in Italian-language. But it was internationally released with various female singers and achieved huge success in duet versions. All this can be verified as you can see [1]. Thecrastest remove all the references I've provided and a lot of sourced content, including certifications and charts (compare the current article with with his/her changes [2]). Morevover, he copy and past part of the content of the "Vivo per lei (Je vis pour elle)" article to "Vivo per lei", which is not allowed per WP:MOVE : "Do not move or rename a page by copying/pasting its content, because doing so destroys the edit history. (The GFDL requires acknowledgement of all contributors, and editors continue to hold copyright on their contributions unless they specifically give up this right. Hence it is required that edit histories be preserved for all major contributions until the normal copyright expires.)". See also my request on the article talk page [3]. Regards, -- Europe22 (talk) 17:39, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
I have seen Europe22 have changed the article, I really appreciate that, but still there is written that among the writers there are Art Mengo and Michel Jourdan. This are not the writers, maybe they are the ones that have translated the Italian version to the French one. ALso it's written that "vivo per lei was Released in December 1997, which is the date of the French translation of the original song that was firstly released in 1996!!! I really like wikipedia, I read it a lot, but I've just signed up because this article was totally wrong. the way that article was edited was really so wrong and full of mistakes!! Europe22 didn't show references to those mistakes, but only the necessary references that helped him to back their thesis. In my edit there were no references, but no one could have demonstrated the opposite, because everything was true. And I must also emphasize that the article is still too much French related, for example:

- The title has french words in parenthesis (it shouldn't be or it should be also for all the other countries the song has been sung), so the link should be moved like I did move, to match the real title "vivo per lei" without parenthesis, because otherwise the article is misleading!!!! - The "Chart performances" chapter speaks about France and not about Italy nor other countries but Switzerland?!?!? - Europe22 says that "The song is currently used in a French TV advert for pastas. Only Bocelli's voice can be heard in the excerpt played." - Europe22 mention only the French certification: "that the Certification Platinum France, 1998" - In the "Charts" Europe22 don't even mention Italy, that is supposed to be the country from where the song comes from. - In the link on the right there is all about Hélène Ségara and nothing about Giorgia, the real original singer partner of Bocelli. Please be fair with all other countries, as if you would go to youtube you would see that thousands people have liked the italian version of this song, like no others song or video and trust me the famous one is not the French one, that's why I felt to edit and replace your information with more reliable ones, even though there were no references. Please I'd like Europe22 to correct those mistakes I mentioned above. I will have a closer look to this article also to see if in the future there will be change that will not meet the truth, with the hope that some other people (me included) will be able to edit it typing and adding true things related to different other countries rather than France, without having Europe22 removing the content. Thanks, I hope that was clear. Thecrastest (talk) 21:40, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Please both of you calm down. Welcome, Thecrastest, to Wikipedia! I hope to decide to stay! However, the edits to Vivo per lei (je vis pour elle) are correct. The French in the title is allowed because it is a translation of the original song. The title does not need to include all the translations because the biggest hits were in France, which therefore justifies the translation. Also, please do not move pages... ask another editor to do it for you since you are new :) Let me know if you have any further questions, thanks.  IShadowed  ✰  22:43, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply, IShadowed ! -- Europe22 (talk) 22:50, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I understand. I firstly like to bring my apologises, as I really overreacted only because I felt a bit insulted and deceived with what it was written in that article before, but I understand it wasn't made on purpose. I want also to apologise deeply for not having adhered to the wikipedia rules, I really did not mean it, I didn't know I could not move the content, I should read the rules more carefully. Sorry if I just like to stress again the fact that the album was a huge hit in many countries (not only in France) and that the most famous hit spread all over the world is about the Italian version, please look at the wikipedia link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanza_(Bocelli_album) (it says that was released in 1997 but really it was 1996). So I'd still like to get that page moved to the Italian original one, just to stick with the correct informations and if possible remove from the original writers (on the top-right side of the screen) Art Mengo and Michel Jourdan. Other than that, I need to thank Europe22 to have corrected the informations that were previously written. We now just need to add all the other informations. Thanks and again please I hope everyone accepts my apologize for having been so rude. Plus I must say that I really enjoy wikipedia and I hope that will grow even more. Wikipedia is one of the greatest things if the not the greatest thing people can use and rely on nowadays. Thecrastest (talk) 00:21, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

New guy question edit

Hi you responded to a helpme I posted today. One of the things I worked on today was updating the demographic/lifestyle stuff on the Breckenridge CO page. I was asked to update it by Ron Shelton, a realtor in Breck that was involved in the founding of the snow sculpting contest. He is a decent photographer and sent me some of his photos from the contest. I was wondering what the policy is on this. I don;t think he wants any attribution, he is just interested in getting people that see the page in getting interested in the contest, and I think he is right for ~his~ purpose, the question is does doing that take away from trying to be fact based. You said if I had questions come ask, so here I be. Also, how do I integrate myself into the structure of the South Park project, I joined, is there any organization to it? Hey IS, you marked an article i recently created (Off the Beat (University of Pennsylvania) with the speedy deletion tag. i argued against the page's deletion on talkpage. but basically, the article is at an early stage and i agree that more information needs to be added to give the article a more clearly defined purpose and significance. please let me know what you think. happy holidays. Appellative (talk) 02:10, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

hello again. if this group weren't notable i really wouldn't have bothered created the page in the first place. they fact that they've been featured in the BOCA (best of college a cappella) compilations almost every year and have won numerous awards and nominations (i believe) serve to bolster their significance. (they still need to be listed... working on it) i don't really know what specifically you would like me to add to this page to increase its notoriety that its peer articles (the 70+ other collegiate a cappella group pages on wiki) already contain (and their significance isn't being contended...).
