Feeding habits Scavenger.

Offspring Female keeps eggs and young larvae in a water-filled pouch and cares for them. When the larvae are ready to separate, the pouch bursts open and they jump out.

Did you know The species is known as "pill bug" because it rolls into a ball when threatened, protected by a hard outer shell. It is one of the few terrestrial crustaceans, having developed lungs, but mainly relies on gills.
