Not done I think you should look at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Flag_Template#National_sport_team_flag_templates and make your own template for these football aliases. I see no evidence at WP:WPFT or on their talk pages that consensus supports the addition you've requested. KrakatoaKatie 05:56, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Note: This isn't a problem with the template Template:Country data South Korea but with the image File:Flag of South Korea.svg, which is held on Wikimedia Commons. There was a recent problem at Commons where they had to replace some hardware, and some images were unavailable at certain sizes for a few hours. Weird. I can see 21px and 22px without a problem, but 23px is blank. (24px is fine, however.) The URL for the 23px image is http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/09/Flag_of_South_Korea.svg/23px-Flag_of_South_Korea.svg.png. I tried downloading this using Wget. The web server responded with the HTTP status code "200 OK", but the content of the file I downloaded is the following HTML page:

Purging the image page either here or on Commons does not seem to make any difference. I get the same thing whether logged in or not. I even tried accessing the page using a different ISP, and still got the same problem. – PartTimeGnome (talk | contribs) 22:42, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
- I get the same result using curl as PartTimeGnome. I also see the same issue for Romania, but not for most other countries including ones that have been edited recently. Some resolutions work fine, but 22 and 23 and 25 are consistently broken. I thought there might be a minimum working size but for example 24 works fine and 25 does not. Request fix national football team name edit
Korea Republic national football team's official FIFA name is Korea Republic. but now name alias is South Korea. Please add 'name alias-football = Korea Republic', 'name alias-futsal = Korea Republic' and 'name alias-beach soccer = Korea Republic'. Remove

| flag alias-2009 = Flag of South Korea (WFB 2009).gif
and the corresponding "vars".
These are just based on the illustration of a book and are not historical or real variants/changes to the flag. They must be removed. This kind of cleanup of "WFB-variants" have been made on other flag templates before.

The naval jack and the flag of the navy currently being used in the template is wrong and different from the actual design. This problem has long been unrecognized and the wrong flag has been used continuously in Wikipedia. This must now be corrected. Therefore, it is necessary to change the wrong flag(File:Naval jack of South Korea.svg) to the correct flag(File:Flag of the Republic of Korea Navy.svg).
