Comment: Oh, apparently a bit past the article creation cut off; it was still 5× from Feb 1, so just go with that instead. There's a pic of the revolt in the article but, since I think those hooks are less focused on the location itself, I left it there for now unless the reviewer greatly prefers one of them. Yes, Zanhe, I'm over my snit (sorry).

The article looks interesting, and it seems to meet the length requirements. However, there are some parts that don't have references. While footnotes are not an absolute necessity (it's merely important that the content is verifiable), it seems awkward to read that some statements have sources but others don't. Since sources seem to mostly be in Chinese, I guess having more footnotes would be a good idea. Narutolovehinata5 ^tccsdnew 12:37, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Yup, but it's not GA and the actual policy here (with which I disagree fwiw) is at least a cite per paragraph, so did you have anything in particular that you thought was actually questionable or was there some problem with the sourcing for the hook? The article is already very thoroughly cited, and it isn't really well-served by making me delete random chunks of good info just to add it after the process is over. That said, sure, I can, if there was something you had an issue with.

(Btw, I know you're well-meaning. Cite-every-sentence-outside-the-lead is such massive and unnecessary requirement bloat that I feel compelled to avoid it, though. Is there anything you particularly took issue with?) — LlywelynII 13:50, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

@LlywelynII: Well, for instance, the sentence "Other major settlements in Yuanqu County..." doesn't have a reference. It's okay to have some statements without footnotes, but it's awkward to see that for paragraph ending sentences. Usually in such cases you'd move a reference to the end so that the reference applies to the whole paragraph as opposed to just one sentence. The uncited sentences (two of them) are the only problems with the article and once that's resolved, this will be passed. Narutolovehinata5 ^tccsdnew 23:13, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Article meets the newness and length requirements. No plagiarism has been detected. Article is adequately sourced (though honestly, you didn't really need to remove the "uncited" sentences), neutral, and stable. Proper licensing provided for the map image. QPQ provided. The hooks are interesting, but the ones that I prefer are ALT0, ALT1, and ALT2; any of them could make a good April Fool's Day hook if so desired.
