  • This article is new enough and long enough. The image is appropriately licensed and the hook facts are cited inline (giving an AGF tick because the source was temporarily unavailable). The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:37, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, and tagged the lead for saying nothing about the subject's notability. Also, the hook is rather bland. Even to say what the graffiti says ("Romans go home") would make it more interesting. Yoninah (talk) 19:14, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
ALT1 ... that the Hull and East Riding Museum includes "Romans Go Home" in Latin in a reconstruction of a Roman settlement in Britain?

would be OK by me.Chemical Engineer (talk) 20:29, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

  • OK, but I would phrase it like this:
  • ALT2: ... that the Hull and East Riding Museum's reconstruction of a Roman settlement in Britain includes the Latin grafitti Romani ite domum ("Romans go home") on the wall of a building?
  • Per DYK rules, the hook fact has to appear in the article with an inline cite. There is a cite, but I don't see this fact mentioned in the source provided. Please also expand the lead. Yoninah (talk) 21:01, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
  • The words are there on the wall in the picture given. If this does not suffice, sorry. Chemical Engineer (talk) 21:08, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
  • @Chemical Engineer: I'm sorry, the fact is not mentioned in the source, nor is the image displayed in the source. Calling it a "humorous feature" is OR. I removed the citation. Would you like to suggest a different, sourced, hook fact? Yoninah (talk) 21:15, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
  • I have added the following reference to the article: "Hull Museums – More Tram Logos". creativegeekery.wordpress.com. 25 July 2016. Retrieved 29 July 2018. Chemical Engineer (talk) 15:02, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
  • I added some book sources on the talk page which you may use to cull more description for a different hook. Yoninah (talk) 18:32, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
ALT3 ... ... that the Hull and East Riding Museum displays Roman mosaics from the area in reconstructions of actual rooms including a bathhouse with a bather.Source Hull in 50 Buildings (includes picture of bathhouse: another photo of the same scene in the article.
Roman bath house
  • Thank you, Chemical Engineer, for incorporating those book sources in your article. I'm not sure why you didn't include the URLs or page numbers for these sources; it makes it easier for the reader (and DYK reviewer) to verify facts. I went ahead and formatted them for you. The ALT3 hook is in the right direction, but is a little wordy. What do you think of shortening it, like:
  • ALT4: ... that a reconstruction of a Roman bath house at the Hull and East Riding Museum includes an original mosaic and a life-sized bather? Yoninah (talk) 09:55, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Unfortunately, the image is too dark at thumbnail size. Yoninah (talk) 10:03, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5: Sorry, I thought that was an authoritative declaration that ended it. I don't what the standards are. I just thought it was an interesting place and thus an article with several interesting features, but I am not fighting for it if no-one else thinks so. Chemical Engineer (talk) 20:05, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Let's get this nomination moving. Approving ALT4 and suggesting that the image is not used. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:39, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
