As my handle suggests, I am a Chartered Chemical Engineer from the UK, recently retired.

Photographs edit

I try to provide photographs which are reasonable in their own right. To get a decent one of a particular building or scene often means waiting for the right time of year, time of day and weather conditions. I take care not to park my own car in view, and avoid others as much as possible (which sometimes means abandoning a shoot, particularly if there is a brightly coloured vehicle obstructing the view). I generally take a larger view and crop it. I smudge out vehicle number plates and people's faces if recognisable.
