Peacock edit

Sentences like "unbelievable shot-making along with great hustle" need to be quotes with citations or made more neutral in tone. This is pure peacock.. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:18, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

POV-section edit

So, some phrases from the prose need some work to become encyclopedic and neutral in tone, as we would expect from Wikipedia articles...

  • "in the next set, he dominated Agassi"
  • "Just as it looked that Andre Agassi was tiring, Agassi came firing back,"
  • "Malisse charged back"
  • "unbelievable shot-making along with great hustle."
  • "was just no. 205 of the world"

We also seem to be cherry picking his "notable" matches. We need to define what is considered notable, because as it stands, it's just one person's view of notable... the following need work:

  • "One of Malisse's most notable matches occurred at the 2005 ..." according to whom? What criteria?
  • "Another notable match occurred in the quarterfinals..." once again, the same two questions, according to whom and using what criteria?

And issues with trivial extrapolation:

  • "Had Malisse won the match, it would have bettered his previous best performance at the U.S. Open in 2003 when he lost in three tight sets to eventual champion Andy Roddick, also in the fourth round"

Finally, it appears that a number of claims have no citation, most importantly some direct quotations:

  • Agassi later remarked that Malisse was "hitting winners off of both sides."
  • This unanticipated comeback led CBS Announcer Mary Carillo to remark that Malisse is "oozing with talent."

...and other claims:

  • he is considered the biggest Belgian tennis talent on the ATP tour
  • Afterwards Roddick said that it was one of the most difficult matches of his tournament.

Perhaps someone with the expertise required could address these concerns so we have a verifiable NPOV article. Thanks. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:09, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Quotes edit

Would the quotes be worth sourcing? From the looks of it they could be contributing to the POV of the article. Thanks, PizzaofDoom Talk Edits 01:47, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
