Area edit
Here it is stated that the area of the plaza is 20,000 square meters. I believe this is impossible by more than a factor of 2. Go to this page of the Israeli Mapping Authority and use the Measure tool to measure the area of the largest plausible definition of the plaza. I get at most 8,800 square meters. I've obtained similar measurements using other tools in the past. Either the author of this figure has in mind a much larger area than we usually think of as the plaza, or (more likely) is simply mistaken. Zerotalk 03:45, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
- Zero0000 I tried the tool and came up with a similar figure as you did. I don't know the origin of 20,000, but the source from the article gives a figure of 10,000 for the former Moroccan Quarter. I believe we should go with that figure to avoid any original research. We can assume that the part of the plaza opposite Robinson's Arch, which I didn't figure in the count, could be considered part of the plaza since it now supports similar activities (prayer services). Figuring this way can get it up to 12,000 for the entire section, but since not all of it is accessible, the 10,000 figure should be about right. Havradim (talk) 05:13, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
