Fair use rationale for Image:VortexBoxArt.jpg edit

Image:VortexBoxArt.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I came to this article because of this citation which put this article in Category:CS1 errors: markup.

That citation uses cite magazine:

which improperly uses ill in |magazine=. At the top of the ill documentation page is a notice box with this image:  . ill is not to be used in cs1|2 template parameters that contribute to the citation's metadata (see list contributing parameters here) because use of ill in parameters that contribute to the metadata will corrupt the metadata.

When used in |magazine= as is done in the above example, produces this:

Nintendo Player<span class="noprint" style="font-size:85%; font-style: normal; ">&nbsp;&#91;fr&#93;</span>

The only thing that should be in |magazine= is the magazine's name. The magazine's name may be wikilinked:

|magazine=Nintendo Player
|magazine=Nintendo Player
|magazine=:fr:Nintendo Player

Because of the noted proscription, I deleted ill templates from the cite magazine templates. As part of that I also removed most (not all – I missed a couple) |publisher= parameters from the cite magazine templates per the cite magazine |publisher= documentation which reads, in part: "Not normally used for periodicals."

Editor KGRAMR reverted my edit with the edit summary That cannot be called cite repair if the magazine's publishers are removed. Reverted back to the way it was. I disagree for the reasons stated above and believe that my edit should be restored.
