Notability edit

The topic of this Wikipedia entry is the subject of a 6,000+-word article in The New Yorker, and that article was cited since the entry's creation. As such, the topic meets the requirements of both WP:GNG and WP:ORG.

There is nothing in any notability guidelines requiring a "claim of importance". Rather, what is required is "significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources," which is not merely claimed, but demonstrated.
