Coordinates edit

I think the coordinates may be incorrect. Perhaps 21,22'07.30N 157,56'21.97W ? 66.135.229.92 (talk) 18:13, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Mark 8/16/08Reply

Rescuing POWs edit

I tried to figure out when the Bowfin picked up its first load of escaped American POWs in the Philippines, but was unable to do so from the book I am reading.

This book is Return to Freedom: The War Memoirs of Col. Samuel C. Grashio USAF (Ret.), by Grashio, a lieutenant at the time of his escape, in late 1943(?), and Bernard Norling. Samuel Grashio and nine other Americans, including Jack Hawkins (both Hawkins and Grashio have WP articles) escaped from a Japanese POW camp and served as guerrilla fighters before seven of them left for Australia on the Bowfin and other subs. In his book, Grashio describes meeting the crew of the Bowfin and his trip to Australia on it. Plus, there are five WW II photographs of the Bowfin, it's crew and some of the wives of the crew in Grashio's book. Those who work on this article might want to incorporate this info and the images into this article. Thomas R. Fasulo (talk) 02:53, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
