gender edit

every single time this character is mentined in a article, the thing criss cross's between he and she, why... --Cody6 22:34, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

because (spoiler) the character Tsukasa is a he, but the 'player' is a she. (unsigned user)

i know that, but why does it crisscross between calling her a a he and she, shouldn't it bwe one, cuase it makes the people who wrote it look kinda stupid...--Cody6 01:27, 28 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Which article are you talking about? In this one Tsukasa is mentioned as a "he", and An Shouji (Tsukasa's player) is mentioned as a "she", since she is a she. It can be helped because one of the reason for this article is to explain this issue, so we have to mention both (Tsukasa and An). If you're talking about another article, point me to it and I will take a look at it. Kazu-kun 05:04, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
almost any article she is mentioned in, it always changes from he to she, wouldn't it make siunce to use the real world persons gender?--Cody6 23:27, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I believe An Shouji is mentioned only in four articles: Subaru, Bear, .hack//ZERO, and this one; and every one of them is pretty clear about the issue: Tsukasa is the PC and An Shouji is the player. There's no crisscross between calling her a he and she: An is a she and Tsukasa is a he. This is the only way to avoid confusion. Crisscross would be addressing Tsukasa as a she, or An as a he (the later would make even less sense.) Kazu-kun 04:50, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is just messed up man. You know what I mean. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.36.89.42 (talk) 04:44, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tsukasa's real life gender is supposed to be a spoiler, anyway. It would make sense to refer to the character as he. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.171.71.199 (talk) 01:23, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

LGBT? edit

The LGBT WikiProject considers any articles that relate to "cultural, political and historical manifestation of same-sex, bisexual, or transgender identities, attractions, and relationships, and related societal reactions" to be within the scope of the project. Does this article not fit within that definition? -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 04:50, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Like I just said on Talk:Tomoyo Daidouji, it's not within the logical scope. That's like making WikiProject Hats (which in all honestly could be a real project and be helpful) and then going to tag every article that is about someone who whore a hat. The article is not about being gay, gay issues, etc. Even with the definition the LGBT project gives, I would not consider such an article as this to be within the scope. Think of it this way, that project won't help this article, this article won't help that project, and editors of this article probably don't care about the gay element one way or another. There's no point in adding the banner here. -- Ned Scott 05:08, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Since you've removed the banner from at least four articles, and since you're not a member of the WikiProject, I'd like to take this to the WikiProject talk page. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 05:23, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I don't think females playing male role playing characters gives it any relation to LGBT. Being a member of the Wikiproject is not necessary to remove tags from an article. I'm not going to remove it but... I haven't seen any explanation for why this is LGBT at all. It's kind of like putting Dustin Hoffman in the LGBT project because in his role playing (Tootsie) he played a woman. gren グレン 19:07, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
This article is not about Tsukasa in .hack//Sign, it is about Tsukasa in general. So, while Tsukasa appears as a guy in the series, in the .hack//Zero novel he appears as his real life self; a GIRL, who has a romantic relationship with another girl; the real life player behind Subaru. I believe being depicted as a lesbian is enough relation to LGBT. Now, I'm not familiarized with the scope of the project, and their criteria for tagging articles. Nevertheless, identifying this article as related to LGBT does make sense to me.Kazu-kun 19:33, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I only skimmed the article and searched for certain things but if that is the case then it may very well be within the scope of the project. I just didn't notice it in the article. gren グレン 20:27, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
While one can easily categorize it as LGBT, my issue is that there will be little relevance for page maintenance, collaboration, etc. So it's a good idea for a category, but I find it silly for a WikiProject's coverage. Instead of thinking "lets find every possible article we can tag" we should think "does it help to tag this article?" -- Ned Scott 21:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

She was gay? Did they ever mention anything about her father doing other forms of abuse? Lockgar 6:16, 05 April 2008 (UTC)
