Note on screenwriters: Grover Jones has a credit only due to a contractual agreement. He did not participate at all in making the movie. The screen play was written by Samson Raphaelson in close collaboration with Lubitsch. It was based very loosely on the older Hungarian play "The Honest Finder" by Aladar Laszlo. They did not work from the script of the Honest Finder, just from a basic story outline.
