E-flat flute in 19th c. edit
The E-flat flute is often found in early 19th c. band music -- it's often called an F flute (in accordance with the tradition of calling the standard C flute a D flute). Meyerbeer uses it in the bands in his operas.
Doesn't Emerson also make a high G flute?
