Present Tense?

Why is the section "Plot introduction" of the article in the present tense? That's asinine and idiotic. Also, the story is in the past tense, and it is a narrative: it is not happening NOW. Please fix the section to the correct tense. Thank you. --Desertphile (talk) 05:33, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Unfamiliar word

Unfamiliar to whom? Few of these so-called "unfamilar words" are unfamiliar to me. Unless there is a source (and if there is, it hasn't been cited) that Stout deliberately used words he considered "unfamiliar" in just this way, then this statement of "The unfamiliar word" is entirely subjective. That means it is original research, has no place here, and the similarly named sections must be removed from all of the Nero Wolfe articles. 12.233.146.130 (talk) 20:48, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

I read this thirty years ago and recently got to wondering: Is this the one in which Archie repeatedly sees a man (dubbed "Pinky" by Archie for something he wears) with a gold tooth, who only eats soup? Later reference to this book

In a later book, Archie quotes Ferdinand Bowin's words when he was taken from his cell to be executed by electric chair. (I think the words are, "I find the idea utterly repugnant.") If anybody knows which book it is, it might make a good addition to the page. JDZeff (talk) 19:57, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
