Reference Section Templates edit

I removed the following templates: 2012 ATP World Tour 2012 WTA Tour 2012 in Tennis

because these have not been created and the red links are distracting and mess up the form of the page. However, I do agree that these should be included in the article once the templates have been made.--SargentIV (talk) 03:08, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Merger discussion edit

Regarding the proposal to merge this page with Tennis at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Qualification I disagree that it should be done. It is standard for wikipedia articles to have a Main page for a Sport at the Olympics and another page devoted to qualification. I don't see why Tennis should be the exception.--MorrisIV (talk) 15:28, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I second MorrisIV's argument. The qualification page should be separate from the main page, as all previous Olympic and MSE event pages have been constructed. Prayerfortheworld (talk) 00:32, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Why were the two pages merged? No one agreed to the merger and less than one month was given for discussion.--MorrisIV (talk) 04:00, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
There was no agreement behind that edit. I reverted it and I now also vote against its merging. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 23:00, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I'm against the merging also. Pelmeen10 (talk) 15:53, 18 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Stephanie Vogt edit

She is still listed there, but her article states: However, she was forced to withdraw through injury and was replaced by Tamarine Tanasugarn.
Is it so? If yes, I think it should be mentioned. 82.141.94.239 (talk) 02:59, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

It refers to the 2008 Olympics, not the current one. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 08:54, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Draw dates edit

Does anyone have dates that the draws shall occur? Francium12 (talk) 23:40, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

It's July 26, 2012.[1] --Stryn (talk) 05:45, 18 July 2012 (UTC) edit: it will be held at The All England Club, Wimbledon on Thursday 26 July at 11am. Another source: [2]. --Stryn (talk) 15:16, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Organiser? edit

Per article tournament was organised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF). But this source says that "The event is organised by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG), working closely with the International Tennis Federation, on behalf of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)." --Stryn (talk) 05:42, 3 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

It seems more realistic to me that the LOCOG is responsible for all events. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 20:32, 5 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
