Sensei edit

I have changed the text slightly. 春屋宗園 is called 師,國師, etc. in Japanese texts, but I found no instances of 先生 used as a title. In present-day Japan I believe individuals who are leaders of Buddhist congregations might be given the title 老師, but 先生 may be more appropriate to indicate one's personal relationship to someone as a teacher. Anyway, putting "Sensei" in capitalized form after that individual's name could also be confusing for many readers since they could misinterpret it to be a family name, so I changed the sentence order slightly to avoid that contingency. Naming conventions edit

In one paragraph there appear both "Hidetada Tokugawa" and "Tokugawa Iemitsu" for people of the Tokugawa family. The list of names is similarly muddled. There's a link to a Japanese Manual of Style appearing above. If you clear up the names, remove my clean up tag too. Waerloeg 10:20, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fixed. The manual of style dictates that Japanese names be written with the family-name first. Densuke (talk) 01:33, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced Tag edit

I added an unreferenced tag due there being no references cited. 76.4.142.135 (talk) 18:45, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Err... I forgot to log-in when I typed that that. MastaFighta (talk) 18:48, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

suggested update edit

while reading this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takuan_S%C5%8Dh%C5%8D#Fictional_appearances i have discovered this you are missing at least one fictional appearance he is also seen in the south Korean series the return of iljimae near the end of episode seven you also get to see musashi. the actor who plays takuan soho in this series is Park Chan-hwan, at this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Return_of_Iljimae#Supporting_cast, he is the third from the last name in the supporting cast list. but to prove this you must compare a google search of a pic of his face to the scene where you can see his face this can be done on dramafever episode seven about 56 minutes in, also they mention his Buddhist name being "taekam" at 56 minutes 30 seconds and also mention the japanese call him "takuan soho" at 56 minutes 50 seconds i post this for the writer but anyone who is willing to look it up and knows how to do it can update the page. more proof van be found at this page http://www.dramabeans.com/2009/02/return-of-iljimae-episode-7/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masalo24 (talkcontribs) 01:23, 19 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
