About the artcle edit
The article needs to be wikified if it is not be deleted. Since the person here is a fan of Sachin Tendulkar, I should think that the article should be merged into the article on Tendulkar. If Wikipedia keeps only articles of famous persons, is it then right to keep alive an article like this? Please check this.--Soumit Banerjee (talk) 10:27, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks for the suggestion I've gone through the section WP:GNG before I wrote this but it only came to my mind reading this section WP:NTEMP. I may be wrong in understanding but please see to it.--Soumit Banerjee (talk) 11:18, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- NTEMP doesnt apply here, because the media keeps on writing articles on him. The article has been here for nearly one and half years and there has been no shortage of coverage - the pic of him and sachin holding the world cup is a current example. so as they keep writing about him, his notability as a sports fan is established.--Sodabottle (talk) 11:53, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

- No problem Soumit. Wikipedia has pages and pages of rules, some often contradictory. But there is a quicker way to learn - if you participate in AfD discussions frequently, you will soon get a sense of what is notable in wikipedia and what is not.--Sodabottle (talk) 15:42, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
