Regulation - who can practice, who has regulatory powers, do they regulate? Precedent? edit
There's no discussion of the regulation of stem cell therapy. No mention of the FDA. Missing chapter in timeline edit
There was a law (I don't know if it's still on the books) that allowed tightly-regulated sale of embryonic material from abortions to be sold, at cost, to labs doing Stem Cell research. This law was passed at the request of Nancy Reagan, who testified before Congress that this law would allow scientists to develop new treatments for diseases like Alzheimer's, which her husband was suffering from. Due to her testimony, the bill passed with strong bipartisan support. I see no mention of the law in this article. It belongs in the timeline. I remember her testimony before Congress, but I'm having trouble finding a reference to it. It doesn't help that I don't know the name of the law. —MiguelMunoz (talk) 04:07, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
