Are you sure it's saturated from linoleic acid? Stearidonic is an ω-3, linoleic is ω-6. I think it comes from α-linolenic acid. David.Throop 06:55, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

correcting writing style that could lead to misunderstanding edit
hello, I want to put your attention on the line from the article " natural sources of this fatty acid are the seed oils of hemp, blackcurrant, corn gromwell and echium..." while not having a pre-existing knowledge of the plant echium (Echium plantagineum) it should be noted that in the article it is quite clearly written that this plant is toxic for human consumption. As omega-3 fatty acids are known to the public as food, I think it is important to inform the reader that the plant echium is toxic to human beings. It could be written that way : " corn gromwell and echium(It should be noted that echium is toxic for human consumption)..." . Update : I've made the editing for the article's page. I would like to hear your opinion if you think I made a mistake writing that way(or if you think it confuses the reader).
