There's maybe a bit too much opinion in the following bit: "The game was always considered weak in its depiction of the alternate Victorian Earth (which was never covered by a supplement), and probably suffered from an excessive focus (at least in its first supplements) on military action.

Some of the RPG's weaknesses can be explained, though, by the fact that Sky Galleons of Mars was actually the first game in the setting. In contrast to the role-playing game's ambiguity, SGoM is a fully-realized and quite innovative tactical combat simulation. Interested role-players would probably be well served by retaining the Sky Galleons game and porting the RPG's setting to a more fully-developed rules set, such as d20 or GURPS."

It could probably be reworked, as "the setting's alternate Victorian Earth was never covered by a supplement, and early supplements focused more heavily on military action.

Sky Galleons of Mars, a tactical combat situation, was actually the first game in the setting." The bit about porting the setting to another rules set isn't really necessary- you can do so for just about any RPG, and opinions differ about what the best rules set for a particular setting may be. 12.216.234.199 03:29, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Heliograph

Ok, there's a problem with the following line. "Heliograph does not intend to reprint Sky Galleons of Mars or Beastmen of Mars." The problem is, Heliograph HAS reprinted both, as books, not as board games. But they have reprinted them.Al Lowe 14:31, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

The section on the name of the game is speculation, not fact.

Because IMO a list of titles is not encyclopedic; it's something more suited to an external link. BTW, it's considered bad form to edit articles about yourself or subjects close to yourself; see WP:AUTO and WP:VAIN Percy Snoodle 10:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Your opinion is wrong. A list of titles is definitively encyclopedic.

Remove Confederancy and Paris Comune mentions, because they are not in setting

There is no mention of Lincoln dying in both Core Rules or Atlas of the world. Official books states that everything on Earth is on the same political track as was in "normal reality" (except for steampunk inventions). Chronology section for year 1882 of "Conklin’s Atlas and Handy Manual of the Worlds" (page 6) mention about Milan Obrenovich (who becomes king of Serbia), triple alliance of Germany, Italy & Austria-Hungary, founding Venusstadt, british taking Cairo in Egypt and Moeris Lacus and Mesopoor on Mar, Belgians organizing legions in Coprates Valley and lastly founding of Bank of Japan. No Lincoln death there. Map of North America (Conklin’s Atlas and Handy Manual of the Worlds, pages 42-43) show the USA as unified etity.

Same with Paris Commune. There is no mention about it in the Core rules, or the atlas.

Got wrong that one with Lincoln (not american, so I got wrong decades; seccesion war was in 60s not 80s). Also, I looked into others publications from original 1989 edition and there was no mention about Earth history being different from ours before Edison's flight to Mars. These changes to the setting were done in core rule book of Uhrwerk Verlag (Clockwork Publishing for the English versions) from 2012. Maybe these points could be extracted from the "setting" chapter and mentioned as changes to the setting below the list entry in the "publications"? 2001:470:B7A1:C0DE:C053:90E4:2A1:5752 (talk) 13:16, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
