CB slang term edit

Should we add a mention to this article that the CB slang term "smokey," referring to highway patrol officers, is based on Smokey Bear? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 02:54, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Name: 60's & 70's edit

The name was always "Smokey the Bear" and it was never, ever Smokey Bear. Smokey the Bear was always THE bear cub that survived a forest fire. Hence, Smokey the Bear makes sense. 2601:249:187F:D35F:D9DF:9B60:15D0:4842 (talk) 16:20, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
