Talk:Shoot to Kill (1990 film)

Text of the article currently reflects coverage that I have found from The Times, Sunday Times, Guardian, Observer and Daily Express, online digital versions of which were accessible with a local public library card. Also Time Out, which was available in hard copy. TV Times for the week in question did not feature a separate article on the programme, only a short listings description and cast list.

So far I have not looked at the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Independent or Daily Mail; it is possible these may only be available in hard copy at the British Library newspaper store at Colindale. It is also possible/likely that there may have coverage in the weeklies: The Listener, Spectator, New Statesman, New Society, City Limits etc. This I have not been able to check.

I have also not checked Dave Rolinson's paper, which may have additional critical commentary.

The drama itself, as discussed in the article, has never been re-shown nor issued on VHS or DVD. However, I understand that a home off-the-air video taping may at times have surfaced to those prepared to use torrent software; what may be the same recording also currently appears to be uploaded to YouTube in 17 parts. With the death of Sir John Hermon in 2008 a commercial release or re-showing may no longer legally be so absolutely impossible as it once was; but it is probably still highly unlikely. The BFI is mounting a season of my work in November and there is a plan to try to include Shoot to Kill in the list of offerings. Peter Kosminsky (talk) 11:51, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
