Article should probably spell out that "Nanigashi" is a placeholder for a name we do not know, not a name itself. edit

Also, note that Yoshikawa was probably referencing the real Shishido Baiken (1883 - 1962), a poet he knew, in naming the character.

I allowed me to change the articles name only to his family name Shishido. The given name Baiken comes from a fictional novel (Musashi (novel)), which has many wrong accounts and errors. One of the most credible biographies about Miyamoto Musashi is The Lone Samurai by William Scott Wilson. He named him also just by his family name "Shishido". Same does the documentary Samurai (2010 film) moderated by Mark Dacascos. --Niten Doraku (talk) 20:03, 17 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
