"Sri" is generally omitted in Wikipedia articles, considered as an honorific, while "Swami" is now being included. There was some discussion about this at Talk:Swami_Bhaskarananda_Saraswati, and also previously at Talk:Swami Vivekananda (somewhere in the archives, I suspect).—Devadaru (talk) 14:07, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Oppose. We avoid using religious honorifics whenever possible because of unavoidable neutrality issues. In this case, as with most people titled "swami", the title is avoidable. — Gavia immer (talk) 05:03, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
