Wow, I really didn't expect to find an article on this.

I'm new to making/editing on Wikipedia but feel it's worth mentioning that Random Encounter might also refer to a published comic book, a professional film made in 1998 Directed by Douglas Jackson, or a Russian-American video game cover band. The Final Fantasy series emphasize storyline, and therefore random encounters are relatively infrequent, whereas in the Dragon Warrior series (more heavily inspired by 1980s-style RPGs) they are very common.
Has whoever wrote that ever played a final fantasy game? They are one long random encounter grind IMHO, if this is true then games with "frequent" random encounters must be unplayable. --Pypex 01:40, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
