Yeah, that was definitely a dead link. I'm glad you caught it. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 03:54, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Time frame?

The article needs some anchoring in time. When was this phrase first used, and by whom? It is relatively recent, isn't it? GeorgeLouis 07:12, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Burning Man

the part about burning man undercuts itself, as if to say 'burning man is an example in some, few, no ways' --Veganbikepunk (talk) 10:45, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

i agree in recent years there has been a heavy police presence at burning man, In no ways is it "autonomous" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.57.31.197 (talk) 01:17, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

PAZ Ecovillage blurb should be improved

It reads like it was plagiarized from promotional material; it doesn't fit Wikipedia's standard tone or neutral viewpoint. Beaker Bytes (talk) 19:39, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Fictional Uses

In the Ultimate Marvel, PAZ is a small monarchy in Europe (near Copenhagen, Denmark) named "Free State" or "The Freezone" including "The Keep". Run by Victor Van Damme aka Doctor Doom. Where citizens live without rent in a shanty town under squatter's rights, and are given free comforts and necessities in exchange for loyalty to Van Damme. There, a tattoo is given to new settlers, which is made up of microfibres that mate with the brain stem so Van Damme can control his followers. "A Home where you Lack Nothing & Need Nothing. And the only payment required is loyalty to the keep, its community. And to me." - Victor Van Damme/Ultimate Fantastic Four/Issue 10 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brownshoes22 (talkcontribs) 03:33, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

Temporary autonomous zone

If Wikipedia is going to have an article for "permanent autonomous zone" then surely it should also have an article for "temporary autonomous zone" (beyond just an article for the book with that name), and an article for "autonomous zone" in general. Or at least a single article that covers all three topics (presumably under the title "autonomous zone"). Can anyone think of a sane reason to object to that? - 2603:9000:E408:4800:3942:A0E3:4D9A:1F38 (talk) 18:10, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

Should the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone from Seattle be listed here?

I'm not sure that listing a zone that's less than a week old here is accurate. Shouldn't the currently forming autonomous zones be listed under an article for 'temporary autonomous zones' instead, and then get moved over here if they last long enough to seem like they'll be more-or-less permanent?

  • Does seem a bit ridiculously immature a stage to include it. --TheMightyAllBlacks (talk) 04:41, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Flawed article

this article is flawed, it has no sources with authority to provice a definition. Secondly anyone can add a place of strong activist presence and add to the list, like there are many on the list. Wikipedia is not a place to come up with new terminology Tomaatje12 (talk) 12:14, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
