Badly written sentence edit

"The backdrop is a water falls upon which Pelican Rapids receives its name" reads very poorly. Is it trying to say "The backdrop is a waterfall from which Pelican Rapids receives its name"? Or is it trying to say "The backdrop is water falling from the dam where the rapids after which Pelican Rapids is named used to be". Or what??? -- SGBailey (talk) 10:44, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Changed the sentence to: The backdrop is a waterfalls upon which Pelican Rapids receives its name from the rapids the dam makes. From there you know of course you can edit the article.--Doug Coldwell talk 13:17, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I can chnage the grammar, but one has to be careful making it read well that the meaning does not change at the same time. -- SGBailey (talk) 15:06, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Revision of April 5th 2011 - photograph edit

I've just revised this article in several ways and hope it's an improvement. The changes include some rearranging and adjustments to style, but most importantly I made corrections to the details about Pelican Pete's location, the city, river and rapids, and so on.

Of course, the job isn't finished. But I'll leave it mostly to others.

The main niggle I have at present is the photograph. Apparently somebody intended to remove the distorted building on the right side of the image, but didn't do so. I wonder if there is a better photograph that shows the entire sculpture with some good background?Twistlethrop (talk) 14:32, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
