Fair use rationale for Image:FoxyBrown1974Poster.jpg

Image:FoxyBrown1974Poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Dubious Quote

Jack Hill is quoted: "Grier was already in various films located in Taiwan and the Phillipenes prior to meeting her." Since this is Hill talking bout meeting Grier himself, why the very strange phrasing? Why wouldnt he say "before I met her." -- ?

Since the quote is dubious and isn't sourced, it should either be sourced or jettisoned. Bustter (talk) 06:16, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

Film Talk: Directors at Work By Wheeler Winston Dixon http://books.google.com/books?id=bgXQ7qaC7nYC&pg=PA92&dq=pam+grier+was+discovered&hl=en&sa=X&ei=uOp9UvfBH4K4iwLW14GwCQ&ved=0CC8Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=pam%20grier%20was%20discovered&f=false

"You are often credited with discovering Pam Grier. Is this correct? "JH: Well, if anyone can be said to discover anybody. She has never done anything before, other than a walk-on in a Russ Meyer movie."

this seems a more reliable source than a quote badly transcribed from a Jack Hill commentary. I've deleted the material I cited above Bustter (talk) 08:06, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Biggest Oscar snub of the 1990s

Anyone who has seen Jackie Brown knows that Grier gave a quintessential performance worthy of an Oscar yet she received nothing. This has been covered by reliable sources, yet nothing appears in this article. Viriditas (talk) 02:51, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Give the sources, and see if you can add something abut it. Colin McLarty (talk) 15:19, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
However reliable the source, this would be someone's opinion, not a matter of fact. If the prson offering this opinion is notable it 'may' be worthy of inclusion in the article, though I have doubts whether any one person's Oscar gripe is of encyclopedic interest.
