Made some changes on the page, including rewriting some sentences which made little to no sense. I'm not quite sure if the "trivia" about the Viva Cuba restaurant is needed, or indeed relevant, but at least now it reads a little easier. Same with the sentence about Bourbon. I also had some trouble understanding the run done in the late 70s, but I'm not sure if anyone will able to help on that one. 89.240.248.239 23:13, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Moved here as it is not a stop on the Otley Run, but may be of interest. (Barry m 22:42, 9 May 2006 (UTC)):-Reply

Question regarding classification of "Ommitted by the traditionalist Otley Runners" edit

What is the classification for determining whether a particular pub or bar is avoided by traditionalist Otley Runners. Is it due to pubs that have only been open in the past fifteen years such as the Box and Arc not having as established a history as the likes of the Original Oak and Skyrack or is it the avoidance of contempary style premises. Also considering the Drydock has only been around since 1993 has this been included on the traditionalist list due to not being of a contempary style. Are there any websites detailing rationale for avoidance as it is not traditional? What are peoples comments on this? --Wrh1973 15:31, 31 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think it's along the lines of the ones not on Otley Road/Woodhouse Lane/Whatever and the shiney new ones. And by shiney and new I mean the ones that haven't had a long standing (5-10 years +) recognised position on the Otley Run. 82.3.196.17 17:54, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Shotley Run Merge Debate edit

Shouldn't it just be put under "possible variations" in the Otley Run article? 82.3.196.17 17:54, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup edit

This needs serious clean up and sourcing! It reads like a guide which is not for an encyclopedia. TO stay we need alot more on the history and the like and less on the practicalities. Plus plenty more sources please.

Ironically I found this via facebook and was a bit disappointed. This ain't what Wikipedia is for :(

Still I'm ignoring my itchy send to AFD finger for now and just uber tagging the damn thing till someone with more time that me notices :D --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 23:52, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Delete (and I've done the run). Mglovesfun (talk) 13:20, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Arcadia Ale & Wine Bar edit

Arcadia Ale & Wine Bar is certainly on Otley Road but as the bar staff refuse to serve otley runs, large groups, and people wearing fancy dress, it's pointless even trying to buy a drink there while out on an Otley Run - YOU WILL NOT GET SERVED!

Why is this place repeatedly being deleted from the list of pubs. Whilst it is not a typical student pub I believe it should certainly be on this list as its a pub which serves drinks and would certainly be seen as a stop on the Otley Run route. --Wrh1973 18:47, 17 January 2007 (UTC) I agree, It's on Otley Road, and while it's a newer place, It should be included, but it should be starred as "Omitted by Traditionalists" 82.3.197.136 16:13, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Noticed the user with the IP of 81.97.199.176 has deleted the Arcadia Ale & Wine Bar from this list and is I think the fourth time this place has been deleted from the list. Why are you doing this. Surely it should be included as 1) it is a bar which serves drinks. 2) It lies on Otley Road the route of the Otley Run pub crawl and 3) Whilst not a typical student pub I can imagine people completing this pub crawl will pass through the Arcadia as I have done personally drinking in these premises whilst doing the Otley Run. If you can find any reason why it should be deleted then please do so but I certainly believe it should be included as part of the Otley Run pub crawl route due to reasons mentioned. --Wrh1973 19:05, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
