Snake oil edit
What a snake oil salesman Hoffecker was! Is there more about him? --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 18:22, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- He is discussed both in Gadsden Purchase half dollar and Elgin, Illinois, Centennial half dollar. I will say I have a copy of the congressional committee hearing and he told more than a few lies.--Wehwalt (talk) 18:46, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
"No complaints"? edit
The article mentions (twice) that there "were no complaints about the distribution printed in the pages of The Numismatist". Without ever mentioning that Hoffecker served on the Board of the publisher at that time. That seems a relevant fact that is being left off. T bonham (talk) 20:51, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
Relation to the Old Spanish Trail edit
Please clearly explain in the article the relation or lack thereof of this commemorative to the Old Spanish Trail itself. — AjaxSmack 05:18, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
