Location edit

administrative offices are at 7850 edgewater, which is apparently the school location as well. the Alameda County Community Food Bank is next door at 7900. film footage confirms this. Dont know if its notable enough to add to article. The shootings themselves are pretty notable, and need their own article, perhaps the 2012 Oakland college shootings.(mercurywoodrose)75.61.142.46 (talk) 23:27, 2 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes. If the subject is "notable" only because of the shooting (and even then it's not, an "encyclopedia" is not supposed to be a compendium of everything that appears in the news), then it can be integrated into the article devoted to the shooting. This article makes no case for the notability of its subject. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.49.3.223 (talk) 18:29, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I strongly disagree. The tragic incident aside, this is a school which operates legally in the State of California and graduates students. Granted, its reputation as a degree granted instution may be questioned by some, but it still deserves some mention. The fact that a number of students study, have studied and graduated makes it worthy of having an article.Sunshine Warrior04 (talk) 05:53, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
And you're wrong. I realize a lot of people on Wikipedia think that the purpose of the "encyclopedia" is to document all information known to man, but it isn't, or shouldn't be. A serious encyclopedia does not have articles devoted to all sorts of "clown colleges" around the world. The "school" is not worthy of mention simply because it exists. It is of no importance to the world, and knowing that it exists does not advance our collective understanding of the world around us. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.33.84.17 (talk) 19:20, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Maybe you may feel that Wikipedea should be something but someone else may have a different opinion. And is that really so terrible? As for this "clown college" as you put it, well maybe some students may need to know about it. If a school is good they may want to know its merits. If its bad than they might want to know what its problems are. If you read the article you will note that not all the information there is complementary. I wish you well. Sad, isn't it? edit

That the only reason that this school is known is becasue of the tragic deaths that occurred there. Not really saying anything further on this, just that its odd that this school's only claim to nationwide fame is that people were killed there. Spree killing? edit

Does this incident count as a spree killing? Illegitimate Barrister (talk) 07:51, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

No. When all crimes take place in one location during one incident, it is classified as a mass murder. Jokestress (talk) 16:45, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
