Guarding the Lion edit

lions eliminated? edit
I grew up in a rural part of State College and while I'm not 100% sure I'm confidant I've heard a mountain lion. I now live in northern Delaware and have definitely seen tracks in the White Clay Creek preserve near the De/Md/Pa corner so its a good possibility they've returned to central Pa. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.21.196.64 (talk) 07:01, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

See Eastern cougar for background. It's not clear if the eastern population was a separate subspecies or not, but either way, they're probably all dead (except in Florida). That doesn't mean that you didn't meet a mountain lion, but it means that it was probably an individual wanderer from the west. ―Toby Bartels (talk) 20:19, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
