August 2009 edits edit

I believe your edits are in good faith. I also believe the current article could use some work. However Wikipedia is not censored, and if there is negative information, so long as it is factual (it is) and sourced (it is), there is no allowable reason to delete it. If it is not slanderous, Wikipedia shows warts and all. You can't soft-peddle something simply because it is distasteful to you, if it is true. Okay, you seriously have to stop at this point. I've warned you about repeatedly removing sourced information. It's time to bring in the admins to sort this out. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 17:14, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your interest in editing Wikipedia, Jonathan. Unfortunately, unless you can provide publicly-available sources for the material you wish to add, we can not allow it to be added. Wikipedia requires content to have reliable sources in order to verify the content of articles. Wikipedia also does not allow companies to control articles about themselves. If you can provide links to newspaper, magazine, or other articles about the company, those sources can be used to expand the article. Some information can also be gleaned from the company website (gross/net income, number of employees, and other statistical information, for example). If you have some of that which can be used here, we welcome it. Thank you for your understanding. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 19:30, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I want to make more changes and you have listed innacurate information without citing a source for most of your Nichia Corporation Wikipage. A0178 (talk) 14:56, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have now POV and COI tagged your extremely clumsy new edits, as myself and Nihonjoe and other editors have now told you, you really need to read WP:MOS. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 17:03, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I will do whatever you want me to do regarding putting together this wikipage. I am sorry if I have not followed your protocal but I am new to wikipedia (as far as editing goes) and would just like to learn and enjoy. Sorry for any problems. A0178 (talk) 17:16, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay, then please stop editing this until I can clean this up. Once it is cleaned up, it may still contain factual information that Nichia Corporation may find unpleasant. All companies have something like this. The Boy Scouts can't come in and sanitize their own article. Likewise, you can't remove, strike through or downplay negative info. I live here in Japan and have heard the Nakamura story often enough to believe it has credibility and can be sourced. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 17:28, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just tell me what to do and I will follow your rules and learn what I need to so I can edit and build this page and future pages the correct way. Sorry for any problems and why did you cross out your comment that the edits were done in good faith above? I hope you are not insinuating that I or anyone else is acting in any other way. A0178 (talk) 18:34, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

People have been telling you what to do on your Wikipage and you're not doing it. For one, read other pages you like, see how they're done and try to get close to that. You don't see crossed out or underlined material in other articles. This is an encyclopedia. Where in an encyclopedia do you see crossed out information? I've seen the comments you made and retracted, and I've seen you several times readd unencyclopedic format. I am not in charge of this article, nobody is, so in a sense we all are. This means it is also your responsibility to learn how to edit, not mine to hold your hand. Because you keep hashing over the same ground over and over, I cannot and do not believe your edits are in good faith. No insinuation. I'm saying it outright. If you're not going to bother to figure out how it's done here, then all you're doing is pushing your company's POV. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 14:08, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Whoever cleaned up the article between last night (when I added a NY Times article about the lawsuit settlement) and this morning did a GREAT job. Hopefully I can add a bit to it. I do have one question though, wouldn't a better competitor to reference be OSRAM than Cree? I always though Cree was more limited to aftermarket and flashlights, while SSC, Lumileds, OSRAM and Nichia all competeted in the high-volume ODM markets. I could be wrong and someone else feel free to correct me.PedroDaGr8 (talk) 16:19, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

That was me, thanks. You seem to be better acquainted with the tech angle, please make changes you feel necessary. NihonJoe has tagged this for grammar and caps, I'm not seeing the problems, so if you can, please help! :) Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 08:46, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

First Footnote doesn't have info edit

The link in the first footnote now says 5100 employees and no longer has 2007 revenue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.201.242.130 (talk) 15:19, 31 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

History section repeats itself edit

It seems as if someone has added some parts to the history section without reading it first, since it basically says the same thing twice. NotYourFathersOldsmobile (talk) 07:12, 13 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Further to that, it seems like a third person has added the same information yet again to the litigation section, meaning the same information is repeated three times in the article. NotYourFathersOldsmobile (talk) 07:14, 13 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Nakamura edit

Um, yes the 8.1 billion yen was the greatest bonus, but that only covered the legal fees. That's not very significant compared to the original claim. Aiden3.14152654 (talk) 21:52, 20 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
