If its greatest accomplishment was achieving 3rd place in a Soviet league forty years ago, why do we even have an article on it? -Toptomcat 16:54, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Because they are regular participants in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League through winning the Azerbaijan championship. -- Arwel (talk) 17:06, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - Judging by Google, Nefchi Baku seems to be WP:COMMONNAME, though I accept there are a number of variants out there, this seems to be the most common. Fenix down (talk) 17:15, 17 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. The official name is not all that relevant in terms of article naming policy. Andrewa (talk) 14:44, 23 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose No evidence based on reliable sources that the proposed name is in common use in the English language. Eldumpo (talk) 09:14, 26 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - this is not the COMMONNAME. GiantSnowman 13:30, 28 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I forgot to check this talk page before making my recent move. However, I think the move is justified based on the available English-language sources. 3 of the 4 sources at the article use 'Neftçi PFC', whilst 2 of those use 'Baki'. Eldumpo (talk) 18:14, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Correction - only 1 of the 3 (Soccerway) use 'PFC', FIFA use 'PFK' and RSSSF don't have any initials. Eldumpo (talk) 18:22, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Neftchi PFKNeftçi PFK — The club's page should be named either Neftçi PFK or Neftchi PFC (English version). However, main sources refer to Neftçi PFK. (see Official website and UEFA club page). ..::11soccero11::.. (talk) 15:58, 21 May 2016 (UTC).Reply
