Online sources edit

  • Worldfootball.net - the months/years of players club careers are not necessarily accurate e.g. compare Alan Kennedy's WF entry against his profile at LFC History. Also, Dani Hamzo's WF page suggests he was only with AF in 2005 but the Swedish FA site shows he was playing there in 2004.
  • NFT
  • Soccerbase.
    • Some apps are not included in the player's 'Games played...' list for 93/4, but it seems they may still included in the player's overall totals i.e. see Andy Townsend 93/94 list of games played [2] . This does not show any UEFA cup stats but the 10/1 showing further up the link under 'Other' does broadly tally with his list of Uefa Cup apps at [3]. Similarly, his games tally only shows him playing in the LC Final, whereas Rothmans confirms he played in their 7 other LC games as well.
    • David Farrell (footballer born 1971) is shown as only having made 2 apps (in other comps) whilst at Scunthorpe in 1992/93 Summary career, and his list of games played 92/3 only shows his 2 Villa apps for that season. However Rothmans confirms he played 5 league games (1 goal) for Scunthorpe that season, plus 2 in the FLT.
    • Transfer accuracy - Shaun Teale reported as £450k move from Villa [4] but Rothmans 96/7 and Independent [5] show 500k
  • Reliability of Transfermarkt [6]. In general stats not regarded as reliable as users can enter them.
