Rothko and Avery edit

In Rothko biography in wiki is written that Avery had been very important for Rothko's development and that he was the centre of a painter circle. These two pieces of information seems missing from this article. Could anyone with a better knowledge in the filed fill the gap? --Dia^ (talk) 14:19, 25 May 2008 (UTC) Hey guys, I am a student at Santa Clara University and for a school assignment my teacher wants me to add information regarding Milton Avery. So I am going to add some information soon if that is acceptable. I am planning to post the following:--Milton’s artwork possessed early inspirations of French Fauvism and German Expressionism during the 1930s. These art forms inspired Milton Avery to paint simply with line precision and a variety of colors within his repertoire with which he expresses the mood of the painting. Many of Avery’s early paintings from the 1930s are similar to those of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner; however, by the 1940s, Avery’s painting style had become more similar to Henri Matisse. Avery’s alteration of his color pallet to more subtle tones became a pivotal style within most of his later works.-- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.210.115.4 (talk) 22:09, 7 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Public Collections edit

Darn it, guys. Isn't that section a bit too... expansive? It's all one massive paragraph containing all the locations of Avery's work, and it ends in 'among the public collections' to boot. Wouldn't it be easier to cite an off-site list of collections, or to at least put this in bullet points to make it easier to read?195.194.86.174 (talk) 13:42, 24 September 2010 (UTC) Hi, I just added Vanderbilt to the Institutions list because it houses one painting by Milton Avery.
