It's great to see one of these articles written from a western perspective. This looks much less like the other articles, and that's a very good thing. This accident better than many incidents

The big Mihama-3 accident should receive more coverage in the article. After all, the tragedy demonstarted the main safety benefit of PWRs: the Carnot-circuit water and steam mixture, while hot, was behind the a exchanger and so it was not radioactive at all and it did not make the turbine rotor and the pipes radioactive. Therefore casaulties of the rupture incident could receive prompt medical help from the outside.

In case of a BWR suffering a similar pipe rupture in its unified radiology+Carnot circuit for steam, the turbine hall would be off-limit for rescue crews for some time and all the people inside the hall would likely die of exposure to the released radioactive steam. Both MH3 and TMI results show that PWR is the safest type of commercial nuclear electric reactor. 87.97.55.9 (talk) 23:40, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Factual Inaccuracies Re: the August 9, 2004 accident

The article states that four workers were killed, but the correct number is five. Please see http://www1.kepco.co.jp/english/action/pdf2005/e2005.pdf for verification.

Also, the article also states that "review of plant parameters did not uncover any precursor indicators before the accident" when in fact it had been known since December the previous year that the pipe that burst had never been inspected since the plant was built.
