Welcome to Wikipedia, Sahil Yadav. Editors of this website generally agree that sources must be reliable and independent: this means that press releases are generally not a reliable source, since their inherent motive is to promote a company, and hence lose credibility. Please note that Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising, marketing, or public relations. This list of awards you added was clearly intended to promote the company. Furthermore, I looked into the awards, and most of them were given by organizations that seemed to exist solely for the purpose of giving out awards. I don't see any indication that such awards are significant. Please be more careful with how you write references. It is good that you are adding citations (as long as they are to reliable, independent sources), but the | title = parameter needs to be filled in with the actual title of the article, not a description of the article. For example, the reference to http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/Microland-bags-Pink-Slip-Award/articleshow/1773493.cms should be titled "Microland bags Pink Slip Award" not "Microland bagged Pink Slip Award in BPO category at Times Ascent Inaugural Pink Slip Awards, 2007." You should keep the exact title of the article as written because this facilitates looking for backup copies in case of link rot. Finally, please be more patient with your edit request. You only waited a week before unilaterally implementing your edit request. There is a backlog of edit requests and I can't get to every single one immediately. If you choose not to wait, there is a greater chance that your edits, should they contain promotional or unsourced material, could be reverted by me or other patrollers monitoring this article. Request to remove the COI template edit

Hi fellow editors and moderators,

I notice a COI template on the Microland wikipedia page. Going through the content of the page, I do not see any promotional or advocacy information given. Request you to kindly help in removing the template as it is not serving any purpose or please help me understand how can I do about doing so.

Hello Ssingh275 (talk · contribs), the correct way to remove COI template is to discuss about it on talk page, then remove the template if consensus is reached. As of now, you have deleted the template without reaching a consensus on the talk page. Thus, I will restore the COI template, and wait for the consensus to form on this page. Personally, I agreed that the article has been cleaned up well enough and COI template is not necessary anymore, but I will wait opinions from other editors.SunDawn (talk) 07:54, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I have only just seen this discussion, having reverted your removal of the COI tag earlier, Ssingh275 (talk · contribs), and so I apologise for my carelessness in not checking the talk page at that time. Looking at the page history, I agree with you SunDawn that the promotional content issues seem to have been fixed, and so I also would not oppose the removal of the template. Swadge2 (talk) 11:35, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Wikipedians, going forward how can this template be removed? If the issue is resolved to you, may I please request to clear it up?
Hello again Ssingh275. I restored the discussion below that you deleted per WP:TPO. I am not so sure that this template issue is as resolved as I thought, given that SunDawn asked about your conflict of interest below, and I notice that Aspening seems to have as well on your talk page. If it is the case that you have some connection with Microland, I would tend to think that the COI template should remain, but I am inexperienced in dealing with these issues, and so will wait for the input of other editors. Thanks, Swadge2 (talk) 11:28, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Ssingh275:@Swadge2: I think in this case, my opinion is that COI template should remain, not because of the content of the article, but because of Ssingh275 have a possible close connection with the subject. SunDawn (talk) 17:09, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Changes made to remove confidential information without a reference edit

Hi Team,

I have just made an edit where under the History section I have removed confidential information pertaining to Microland (regarding funding of the company) and more importantly information that named a client and did not have a corresponding reference to prove so. I have replaced the name of the client with 'a UK based firm'. Please consider this while reviewing the edit and let me know in case of any query.

Hi Ssingh275. I have found a source for the sentence about Microland's 2005 deal with Serco, and so have changed "a UK based firm" back to "Serco". I also reverted your removal of the information regarding Microland's funding because, as SunDawn said, this information is reported in freely available news sources, and so I struggle to see how it could be confidential. If I am missing something, or if you disagree with my changes, please do let me know in a reply. Thanks, Swadge2 (talk) 11:20, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Good day Ssingh275 (talk · contribs)! Based on the resource provided it is clear that Microland struck a deal with Serco, as evidenced in here. This is clearly not a confidential information. Moreover, you refer to one of these companies as "a client". Are you getting compensation from Serco or from Microland? If you are being paid by one of these companies, you must disclose your conflict of interest with them, per the rule of Wikipedia. Thank you! SunDawn (talk) 11:43, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
