Talk:Massachusetts Route 15

Latest comment: 15 years ago by Erasmussen

I traveled on this highway on 27 May 2007. All of the MA Route 15 signs on Brook Street in Seekonk, in both directions, have been removed. Also, all signed references to Route 15 (MA or RI) from MA Route 152 have been removed. Westbound, the first reassurance shield is after the state line, as RI Route 15. Eastbound on Armistice Blvd. (RI Route 15) in Pawtucket RI, there is no "END RI 15" reassurance shield at the state line. On the MA side of the border, on Brook Street, there are a series of signs that, first, say "TO (MA) 152" with a staight-ahead arrow underneath. A short distance later are the two directional signs to MA 152: left turn for 152 North, right turn for 152 South. It appears that MA Route 15 has been decommissioned. The highway is still maintained by the state and listed in the latest GIS data from Executive Office of Transportation - Office of Transportation Planning Roads - June 2008. Sswonk (talk) 04:05, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Since that is the case, might this be a highway that is either unsigned or secret, officially or unofficially? Ed (talk) 13:07, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
