Deletion nomination edit

Hi Walter, thank you for your effort to look into my contribution of Login VSI. At the delete discussion page you mentioned: "The included references are not discussions of the product but simply mentions of how the product is used "in the wild." I cannot find any references to support the notability of the subject". I have seen Login VSI a lot of times in technical white papers by different vendors in the desktop virtualization space such as Citrix, Cisco, Dell, HP and IBM. I thought that a reference to their white papers would indicate that Login VSI is recognized by these vendors as a notable VDI load generator and therefor shows notability as Wikipedia article. To help clarify this, I now also added page numbers to the references to show where the functionality of Login VSI is described. If you do not agree that these white papers shows notability, please let me know what I need to add as well. Thank you very much! Frontaal (talk) 10:40, 14 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

WP:N: "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article or stand-alone list." The various phrases are then discussed. "'Significant coverage' means that sources address the subject directly in detail". Mentions of their use don't meet that criteria as the subject of many of those white papers don't address Login VSI directly, they only mention it. Also, they don't treat the subject in detail.
