Check the song list edit

The song list needs to be edited and checked. The song "wreck on the highway" by Roy Acuff is not the same song as the one by Bruce Springsteen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.244.234.41 (talk) 15:24, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also, "My Friend Dario" should be added. --NoToleranceForIntolerance (talk) 18:43, 11 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Also, "Road man" by Smash Mouth should be added to the list. Lyrics include "Road man didn't see the train man, until it was too late to slow the van. Meanwhile the band is waiting for the road man, crushed by his beloved sound system" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.19.51.200 (talk) 00:45, 23 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
What do you think about Mykel & Carli by Weezer, which is about two of their fans that died in a car crash on the way to their show?

Hi! First time commenting, hope I'm doing it the right way... I just wanted to say I don't see 2 songs from Chayanne "Yo te amo" which happens on a car accident on a tunnel and "Si nos quedara poco tiempo" which happens on a big accident, not sure the nature of it, but I'm pretty sure it involves various cars (including Chayanne's car) but might not be entirely a car accident, looks more like a bomb or earthquake I wouldn't know how to add them, so thanks in advance

Maybe you're talking about the video? Because there doesn't appear to be any direct reference to a car crash in Yo Te Amo. Doctorhawkes (talk) 07:23, 19 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Requested move edit

Third Eye Blind's "My Hit and run" from Out of the Vein, along with Alkaline Trio's "Fuck you Aurora" from Maybe I'll catch Fire should both be added.

Random, possibly irrelevant point, but the film clip for Meatloafs song, "Objects in the Rearview Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are" clearly shows a plane crash, theres no mention anywhere of a car crash. Just sayin'.Taker04 (talk) 12:10, 18 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Car crash songsList of car crash songs — - per WP:LISTNAME - I moved this from the uncontroversial moves, since it was moved to this name as the result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of car crash songs per the page history. I have no opinion at this time, but did not think it would end up being uncontroversial. A new name 2008 (talk) 19:39, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

For accuracy, shouldn't it be List of English-language car crash songs? Or should the article carry a {{globalize}} tag? — AjaxSmack 03:08, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Good point. I think the {{globalize}} tag would be best, in order to obviate any need for a separate "List of non-English-language car crash songs".
update: {{globalize}} tag now added - 58.8.6.116 (talk) 10:29, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
BTW I'm the original "uncontroversial moves" nominator - I've now looked at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of car crash songs, seems to me the 2007 move from "List of car crash songs" to "Car crash songs" was inappropriate, it's very clearly a standalone list and as long as that remains the case it should be named per WP:LISTNAME 58.8.13.201 (talk) 06:34, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
I think I may have suggested the move to the current title. I'm fine with either title. Just move it if you think it best. -MrFizyx (talk) 16:13, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Note: We did something similar with Songs about school. If you feel strongly about these things, I suppose you can move that one as well. -MrFizyx (talk) 16:15, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
I went ahead and moved them both. See List of songs about school. Jafeluv (talk) 09:16, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
I think Blasphemous Rumours by Depeche Mode can be added to the list. It goes: Girl of eighteen, fell in love with everything, found new life in Jesus Christ, hit by a car, ended up on a life support machine. Darkgirl (talk) 00:55, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I humbly suggest that we might add "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver" by Primus and "Jackpot Jack" by The Room. They each end with a car crash. - Joshua Clement Broyles — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.27.116.213 (talk) 21:49, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Looking at what else on the list seems to qualify, I suppose we might also add "Crash" by Gary Numan and "Adventures in Failure" by MC 900 Ft. Jesus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.27.116.213 (talk) 22:18, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Death disc redirection edit

Why is this the page that users are sent to when they search for "Death disc" rather than Teenage tragedy song? This seems to be a subordinate concept to that broader article, but apparently others have already tried and failed to get rid of this article altogether. I just think that it makes more sense to redirect the phrase “death disc” to the more broadly defined article. giso6150 (talk) 18:58, 12 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I'm going to go ahead and change it. If anyone feel strongly they can revert.Doctorhawkes (talk) 01:56, 13 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Clarify edit

Is this meant to be "songs about a car crash" or "songs in which a car crash happens"? Weird Al's inclusion would indicate the latter, because if that song's about a car crash then Poltergeist is about TV. Sensei Le Roof (talk) 16:15, 7 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
