Reorder of episodes

I know the intent is to put them in the Japanese order, but it now presents incorrect as the seasons named are the Viz releases and the episodes no longer match up to that release. As is it's wrong (mixing NA season names with JP episode order), but I'd like to know what people's preference in presentation is. Derekloffin 09:32, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Highlight Significant Points (Notes)

I added notes to OAV since I felt it is not enough to say that the Movie 3 is included up in front of the article, it should be in that section as well, as most people will just use Wikipedia to look up a section rather than read it through. It might also be better to include Movie 3 with the movies as well, as the Japanese original method of release is authoritative (though US release info is important to US viewers). This makes the article longer, but a better reference rather than a read.

Also noted DoCo's role in the OAVs because, DoCo being a band formed by Ranma seiyuu, this is a very significant fact that should be highlighted.Jaydubayubee 19:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

I looked at the article first before looking here; I presume that the reader will actually read the introductory paragraph first, so I thought that the second mention that OAV 9 is really movie 3 was duplicative since it's mentioned in this paragraph. Thus, I deleted the entry but shifted the ref. I do agree that movie 3 should be added to the movies; consequently, it need not be mentioned again in the OAV list, which reflects the Western release. To reflect what the OAVs really are, the list can be modified to reflect the Japanese release; a note stating that the Western release is 12 instead of 11 eps due to the inclusion of movie 3 can be added.

I added the nav template which does link to DoCo's article, which is also linked to in its first mention and changed the note re. who they are after deleting it first. BrokenSphere^{Msg me} 00:08, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

This List is buried at bottom of the Main Page

Someone should figure out how we can make this List of Episodes more prominent, as this list with the full names of episodes and TV seasons is necessary to do searches for specific seasons and episodes, which is a primary reason people use Wikipedia. I'd recommend giving a brief summary of the TV, Movies and OVA on the main page and how they differ from the Manga and use this point to link to the list.Jaydubayubee 19:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Date Conflict

Ranma 1/2 movie #2 - Is the island called Togenkyo in the English dub?

I've seen lots and lots of anime/manga (Gensomaden Saiyuki immediately comes to mind) that talk about a place called Tougenkyou. Usually, in English translations and dubs of Japanese works like anime and manga, the name is translated to Shangri-La. And my dictionary says the same thing.

The floating tree island is referred to by Toma as Togenkyo in the English dub dialog (and on the box too, with that spelling). Tougenkyou is just a spelling variant (just like Ukyo is often done as Ukyou), and they never call it anything like Shangri-La, or some other similar term. OVA vs OAV

Episode counts

Do we really need to show english, and seperate nettohen episode counts? It's quite confusing having 3 separate episode counts, and it's questionable that they improve the articles or make them worse. For the sake of a couple of episodes being moved by Viz (easily mentioned in the leads) and the first season being separate to the rest pretty much in name only(again, mentioned in the leads), I'm not convinced it's necessary. I'm struggling to think of a valid reason to not change the tables to only reflect the Viz release, and make notes of changes in the article text as prose Dandy Sephy (talk) 17:55, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm not actually sure what would suit the article more, so I was looking for opinions rather then consensus (and from people detached to the show as well as those attached to it). it clearly needs changing, I'm just not sure which option is better - what suits the show or what suits wikipedia. At the very least, the season numbers should be cut, they're nothing more than excessive from what I can see. The Nettouhen numbers I'm on the fence about, mostly because it's not clearly explained anywhere what Nettouhen is or is in reference to. —Dinoguy1000 22:06, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

OAV Episode List

I noticed that someone put OAV 13 & 14 on the list titled "Shampoo or Akane" and "Confession! Is it Truly Love?" respectively. This was false information as there are only 13 OAV episodes the thirteenth being "Nightmare! Incense of Spring Sleep" which was released in July of 2008 at the Rumic World Exhibition. Episode Order

From what I have heard the anime was struggling for ratings in season 1. To boost said ratings, they decided to rush Shampoo's appearance (since apparently she is one of the more popular characters at least in Japan). Because of that, the skating arc was pushed back to after Shampoo's appearance, but they didn't modify the script so the flashback from it still appears in the 'earlier' episode with Shampoo. If you bought the series on Collector's Edition Subtitled VHS, you would have seen this note before the Pelvic Fortune Telling episode ran in place of the skating pair arc. release for 13th ova episode of ranma

Episode ordering

The original Japanese episode and season order needs to be used. I strongly suggest switching to the numbering method used at List of Case Closed episodes (seasons 1–15). I have not watched the anime, was the Japanese broadcast even separated into seasons or was it for the most part continuously shown. If it was continuous, then a note such as the one at List of Dragon Ball Z episodes#Episode list should be added. Xfansd (talk) 16:14, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

They are not left out, they are episodes 7-9 (Viz episodes 19-21) in "season 2". Xfansd (talk) 17:38, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Episodes Numbers is a mess

Someone have to fix the episode numbers, the season numbers a counting up, even it is the next season after season 1. Also the order of one of the line is not in order with the numbers. 84.150.237.248 (talk) 03:12, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
