Talk:List of Psych characters

Latest comment: 3 months ago by Jgstokes in topic Yang

This article has some of the worst screenshots on wikipedia. Can someone please find better-cropped pictures for Young Shawn and Young Gus, in particular? --Boycool (talk) 21:58, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Point of table???? edit

for the most part everyone has been in all the seasons so the table serves no purpose.Caringtype1 (talk) 22:51, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

The seasons could probably be removed, but the rest should be included in some way so that the main characters are included on the page. Kevinbrogers (talk) 23:00, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Order of the Recurring Characters edit

Are the characters (recurring) in any specific order (i'm guessing it's in the order of the characters' relevance in the series)?

Just wanted it to be clarified.

GOD bless!

Yes, they are in order of importance. It's a bit subjective, but from what I can recall, it's sorted mostly by the number of episodes characters appeared in. The time featured in each episode is also a factor. If the character appeared across several seasons (like Madeleine), they can appear higher than characters that appeared in a more concentrated area (like Abigail, even though she was in a few more episodes). Harris Trout edit

The mention of Harris Trout on the recurring/guest list needs to note in-table somehow that he only appeared in one season 7 episode and 2-3 season 8 episodes, but I'm not sure how to make such an adjustmentment. Anything anyone can do to address this issue would be acceptable to me and very much appreciated by me. --Jgstokes (talk) 00:17, 19 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Buzz McNab Psych movies edit

Hello. I made a recent edit to this page to note that Buzz McNab was the new SBPD Head Detectice as of Psych 2. I didn't finish my explanation. Mira Sorvino's Bersy Branigan did not appear in either Psych 2 or Psych 3, and McNab is the only SBPD detectice to appear in all 3 Psych movies. Several sourccs from which Wikipedia pulls information about Psych, including the movies, have indicated that, as of Psych 2, McNab is the Head Detective of the SBPD, so I made that adjustment. Please post here with any questions/comments on this matter. --Jgstokes (talk) 01:09, 15 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Yang edit

I don’t think the events with Yang in Psych: The Musical are canon. Even though the musical might take place before Deez Nups I think Shawn was just adding Yang into the story in her honor since she had probably passed away in prison Max the Media Fan (talk) 02:39, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

My issue is that you keep making these claims without making any effort to prove them by reliably-sourced information. And these edits are identical in nature to edits supported by a user who was verified as being a sockpuppet, which is why they raised red flags for me. And again, an editor's personal interpretation of sources does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. And in any case, since your edits removed a cited source that specifically states the events of the musical take place before the events of "Deez Nups", unless you can provide a source that specifically disproves that, personal interpretation of sourced material does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. If you have reliable sources to discuss, let's put them out there. In the interim, until your changes have consensus support, they shouldn't be included here for the time being. Listen the events in Psych The Musical are canon yes, but just not the events with Yang I don’t think. Max the Media Fan (talk) 04:04, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Again, personal interpretation has no place on Wikipedia. And you're not listening: provide a reliable source, any reliable source, that backs up what "you think", and then we can talk about making changes to this article. But repeateldy making the same speculative assertions based on personal interpretation doesn't meet Wikipedia's threshhold for inclusion. So either find a source to back your assertions up or leave this alone. It's that simple. In any case, until you produce such a source, this is no more and no less than your personal opinion and interpretation, which, per policies, cannot be included on Wikipedia.
